I remember hours spent gazing at the ceiling, sharing hopes, dreams and the things we could never tell. Late nights filled with the sounds of growing up and falling down – all a blur.
Most of my time is spent worrying that I’m doing this mummy thing all wrong. Should he be eating more vegetables? Am I a horrible mother? Should I be limiting the amount of TV he’s watching? Is it normal for him to not be potty trained yet? Why can’t I be more patient? Am I too patient?

Having a toddler means spending countless hours watching kids’ movies. Now, while I’m very thankful for the long list of amazing kids movies available these days, I have to admit that there’s only so much of one thing any parent can take.

I’m a sucker for Shakespeare. Read them all. Seen the movies. Slightly obsessed with Baz Lurhman’s 1996 imagining of Romeo and Juliet. I’m also a sucker for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and, I think Nathan Fillion’s adorable. Which makes this a match made in heaven…
